想起一位照顧過的癌末臨終病患

56歲男性
吸菸35年
51歲被診斷肺癌第3期B..無法開刀
宣佈大約只能再活1年...
診斷肺癌後至今..戒菸已4年多....終於走到人生最後一段路程

他說的話言猶在耳 :

[ 感謝國民健康局的門診戒菸...
讓他戒菸後多活了3年
他的原診斷醫生也很吃驚...他可以活這麼久.. ]

說話雖斷斷續續
可是語氣堅定得令人不忍

[ 我可是在我家附近診所就戒掉了...
感謝那位醫師也幫了大忙.... ]


數天後
這位病患嚥下最後一口氣
表情安祥..無任何遺憾

5年了!!

門診戒菸5年多來
已幫助20多萬人戒菸
以少少的1至2億經費
再度創造各國稱羨的醫療奇蹟
但是
卻沒有任何的喜悅.宣傳.回顧
這是十分弔詭的事情

這個得來不易的醫療奇蹟
到底應該擴大或持續縮減經費
我想真的需要各界思考

也全掌握在國民健康局的手裡

剛好路過, 看到台灣戒菸醫生的"憂/焦慮"??

但有時候 事情是可以這樣想的
maybe xx局才是為大家守住荷包的人

把大部份的公帑用在不大關心自身健康的族群身上
