Thank you for not smoking in indoor places
Taiwan has amended the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act which has taken effect since January, 2009. According to the new regulations, most of the indoor public places and workplaces are smoking-prohibited. Any person who smokes illegally would be fined for NTD 2,000 to NTD10,000. The owner of the smoking-prohibited places who provides any smoking-related objects would receive a fine of NTD 10,000 to NTD50,000. The regulations also apply to foreign nationals residing in Taiwan.
